 Hi guys,

I am moving an infopath form around using sharepoint workflow, So what I am doing is inserting the link of the infopath form in the document library when I am sending the email with SharePoint designer workflow. However what I have noticed is that when anybody clicks on the email link the infopath doesn't open in the web browser but in the infopath client, please how do I make open in the web browser.

If that user have infopath2007 installed in his machine, then form will be opened with infopath client instead of browser.

Can you check that URL is opened in Internet Explorer directly? If not what is the error it is retuning and give more detail on it.

Check the your URL contains any empty spaces and Library Name contains name space then we have to replace with "%20" in the place of empty space.

 Thanks for the tips Shiva. I think the empty spaces in the document library name is the problem.So how do I automatically replace the empty spaces in the list item filename in the document library with "%20"

Ok guys I sorted it out I had to hard code some part of the hyperlink in the Sharepoint Designer email workflow activity such as this:

<a href="http://servername/documentlibraryname/_layouts/formserver.aspx?XmlLocation=[%documentlibraryname:Encoded Absolute URL%]&OpenIn=Browser"]text</a>

 With this format above I can get the form to open in the browser from an email link.

Hi,

Form will be opened in Webpage even that machine have Infopath2007 installed, If you check the "Display as a Web pag" option in the Advanced proprties in the form Library.

I think your issue is not related to this.
