InfoPath Dev

Hi,

I have created a form template and created secondary data connection into it. At first worked fine. Then I converted it into UDCX file, kept it outchecked and tested the connection, to see it still working fine.

Here comes the tricky part:

If I discard checkout the data connection doesnt work anymore.

Or, if I edit the item properties, change the type from ODC to UDCX and fill up the required fields (title, descritpion, UDC connection, connection type) and check the file in, it doesn't work anymore.

In either case the following message is prompted: 

The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: Sisäiset avoimet työpaikat
InfoPath cannot run the specified query.
The data connection file could not be accessed.
The file is not a valid XML document.

Once again this behaviour doesn't make any sense to me. Can anyone help me?

The other interesting thing is that the UDCX file size is 0 bytes???

Can you be more specifc about exactly what you are doing (repro steps) and what you are experiencing?

I created a form template with a web service and a submit button. The submit button called the web service to do somework on the form. The form and web service worked fine. Then I converted the web service into UDCX file and here are some of the problem i have seen:
The newly created udcx file has been automatically checked out and the Title was missing. When i try to check it in, i get a message that I must fill out all required properties.
If I discard checkout and edited the item properties, change the type from ODC to UDCX and fill up the required fields (title, descritpion, UDC connection, connection type) and check the file in, it doesn't work anymore and i got the following error:'
"InfoPath cannot submit the form.
An error occurred while the form was being submitted.
The data connection file could not be accessed.
The file is not a valid XML document."

I got it now. Here what i have done.

1.After converting to udcx file. Download a copy of it and stored it locally
2.Delete the original one from the data concection library
3.Upload the one you saved locally and at this point the file is ok (al info are there) and the approve/reject option is there now.
