    Form has been closed message

     Hi guys,

I have an Infopath form with 2 views. The first view has a close action that closes the form after it has been submitted to the Sharepoint library. On the second view the same logic applies. However, if I submit the form on the second view the form doesn't colse normally instead a message such as "form has been closed" appears on the browser window.

Please what can I work around this message?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Make sure that in Submit Options window 'Show success and failure messages' check box is unchecked.

Thanks for the quick reply sathoshp, however I am using a custom button to submit the form. I know I can disable the errror message if I am using the main submit option(Tools->Submit Options)

So how do I disable this using a custom button.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Here are some workarounds for this issue. This may help you.

    1) When XsnLocation or XmlLocation is not specified correctly (in
    XmlFormView).

    2) In case of SecurityException thrown by the form.

    3) After a browser window have this issue, it continues to have this
issue. (need to re-open in new browser and clear cache to browser
    cache conflict)

I'll also recommend you to look into sharepoint logs.  The event view
log is minimal and does not provide you lot of information.

    1) Enable "verbose" logging on sharepoint server: central admin ->
operations -> diagnostic logging -> select category to "all " and
    trace log to "verbose".

    2) Goto C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\12\LOGS and open the last updated log file.

    3) check for error related forms server.

Finally, if the infopath form has code-behind file, then debug the
infopath form using visual studio 2005.

Well thank you for your assistance, however I have tried all your suggestion and I am still experiencing the problem.

In any case, may be I will just redirect the form to another view.

     Thank you

    Hi,

You can add rule to the buton, to switch the form to the first view.

I have a had similar situation and here is the fix ( after deleting and recreating the form library to reset count :-)  )

    1. Make sure you don't have any onLoad rules that are broken .
    2. All Data Connections and Data Sources are pointing to appropriate  lists and libraries per your design.
    3. You will need to deactivate the template from Central admin -> Manage forms .
    4. if that does not work , it is an indication of the problem you are having.
    5. Go back to your form libray and delete that content type (under settings ).
    6. You need to removed the old version of the Template ( Under central Admin Manage Forms ) .
    7. You will need to  redeploy the form as usual .

    Good luck,
