InfoPath Tool Bars: Can a form be published with tool bars hidden?

I know that you can remove them manually per form instance, but I would like to know if you can publish a form with these toolbars completely disabled.  Basically, I have a form that I "enabled protection" and all the options under "open and Save".  Is there a way for these toolbars (standard, formatting, tables, ink) to be disabled for other users who access the published version of a form when they first open it?

    Hi,

As of my knowledge we cannot remove/disable these options from InfoPath form. But you can use browser enable form to overcome these issues. Tool bars will not be displayed in the browser enabled forms. Few options will be displayed for browser enabled form, but we can remove those fields.

    Hi

    1.Open infopath in design mode

    2.Go to Tools Menu

    3.Select 'Customize' option

    4.In ToolBars tab, uncheck Stardard,Formatting,Table

    5.Click on 'Close' button

    Hi,

You can disable those options only in the local machine by removing all those options which are told by Madhuri.

You are correct with that statement Anuma because I have expereinced it first hand.  As far as I know this can't be done.  I would like to be able to only because I feel that it doesn't need to be there for majority of the users.  It would make it even more user friendly.

Look up the Toolbars properties and object model in the Infopath help reference (go to script editor and select help) But you need Full Trust (level 3 security) to access the objects which woud let you turn off the toolbars when the form is opened.

At my work the IT department does this - but rudely it remembers the settings and they don't turn them back on again! How rude! And I can't do it because I can't make level 3 forms...oh well. Good luck :-) In new year if you still can't do it, but you have level 3 ability, I will post how my work does it.

Thanks for that information.  I guess I will have to drop this idea...given that my form is not full trust.  It was good idea to further make the form more user friendly.  If they don't need it, my thought was they don't need to see it.  You know..? Anyway, have a good holiday.

    Hi ZaiZai,

I am not sure if you have security issues with your work. as Skarn said.

I have been posting a similar complaints for a while, without fully testing the Customize function.

But I experimented with the customize function, as well as enabling the Protection.
What I have found so far is if you remove the customise and toolbar menu commands plus lots of other sensitive commands,
    YOU can achieve results.
The form is then relatively protected.
It can be found in the Tools menu command, and in View/Toolbars.

Once you conduct these changes, I do not know if you can unhide the commnads.
I am still looking for a reversal.

Depends on how cluey the user is I guess.
Or, if they seek help from a "guru", they may find a way in to modify the code.

I guess that is the  best we can do.  I am still investigation Microsoft Information Rights Management.

Can anyone provide further, and maybe better information regarding this?
