    Formatting Text Fields

    Hello there,

I have a text field in a form that holds a national insurance number.

When this field is being updated I want the user to be able to key in as follows: "AA123456A" but I am hoping that this can be displayed like this: "AA 12 34 56 A".

Is this possible without the user having to physically key in the spaces? This is not a big issue, it would be nice to know if it is possible though.

    Thanks
    Micky

    Hey Micky,

What you're looking for is called a masked textbox, and there is no easy way to do this in InfoPath. We have discussed similar scenarios on the forums before, but I don't think we came up with anything too elegant.

    Maybe scripting?
But not many people can create such scripts...
