Compare a drop down list with current user

I have a drop down list that contains a list of users. I want to compare the user that gets selected with the user currently logged in the form. Is there a way to do this without code or if with code, how to do so?

    Thanks!

    Hello Kidthnk1,
Yes, we can make this without using the code also by using webservice method my user info. It retrieves the login user name and set this user name value to any secondary field and compare it with the drop down value selected.

    Hope this helps you!

Could you provide step by step instructions to do so or point me in the direction on an existing document on how to do so?

    Thanks!

    Hi Kidthnk1,

Before we send detailed steps on our Active Directory Web Service, do you have access to a server running IIS 5.1 or greater? You'll need that to install the Web service.

If you have InfoPath 2007, you can get the username without writing code and compare this to the list in the dropdown. This is easier than installing our AD Web Service, but there are some caveats - i.e. you can't get as much information and it doesn't work when the user is logging in remotely from a computer that has not been joined to the domain. However, it's pretty simple.

How do I fill a textbox with the current username (active directory) the user is logged on with?
And without having to write code?

    I have access to Infopath2003 and 2007
