    Hiding Controls

I just started using InfoPath last week. Whilst I'm finding it fairly intuitive, there is one question that is puzzling me. I'm trying to create a form with check box controls. I want some of the check box controls to be hidden if others are not selected. However, when I try to do a conditional format on the check box control, the option to hide the control is greyed out; I can only disable it. According to the help file, the check box control can be hidden in this way. Am I missing something? Andy

    Hello Welcome to the Forums,

Best way for show or hide the controls you have to add one 'section'. What are the field you want to hide those fields need to move that newly added seciton and add the conditonal formating for this section.

    Thanks for the reply!

I'm not sure if I explained myself very clearly.  I don't want to hide a whole section, just individual check boxes.

On my form I have ten check boxes.  If one of them is ticked, I want the other nine to be hidden.

    Is this possible?

    Hi,

You cannot able to hide the check box. So Add check box in section and hide the section using conditional formatting.

    Hello,

We don't have option to hide the check box directly using conditional formating. For these we have to move rest 9 check boxes in one section and add the conditional formatting to that section depends on check box1 selection. If you want to add like this for every check box then you have to add for each check box one section to hide the this control.

From what you are saying, it appears that the InfoPath documentation is wrong.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.  I will look at using sections to hide my check boxes.
