Hi,

Has anyone ran into the error below when trying to open a form from InfoPath?

InfoPath cannot open the following file: 2008111100001(1).xml
InfoPath cannot open the form.

Error Details:
Form template: http://localhost/Site/Templates/template.xsn
The file is not a valid XML document.
Incorrect document syntax.
Line 1, Position 1

InfoPath 2003 is used and .NET 2.0 Framework.

Hello Welcome to the Forums,

Can you open 2008111100001(1).xml in an XML editor, like XML Spy or Visual Studio and check it once what are special characters are added in the position 1 in line 1. This form is not well structured form it includes some special charaters we have to remove those to open the form.

I am able to open the form from another computer.  When we checked the InfoPath version we noticed that there was no service pack.  After installing Office 2003 SP3, the form can now be opened from the person's computer.
