Fill text field with data from a secondary data connection

    Hi all,

I have a secondary data connection to an access database. In my infopath form I want
to fill a text fields whit information out of this data connection. But the data should be
filtered. The filter is available in another text field im my form. How can I handle this.
    Code?

What did you mean with this? I want to check if the data of one field in the infopath
form is equal with data in a special field in the access database. If yes, I want to fill
another field in the infopath form with data of a field of the database. In both cases
it is text which has to be compared.

Is this what you want to know? I hope I have explained it in a clear way now.

    Hi,

    1.       Go the properties of second field (in which you want to place the data base value).

    2.       Click on fx button. Click on ‘Insert a field or Group’. Select the data base field.

    3.       Click on Filter data and click Add button.

    4.       Select the special field in data base in the first drop down, select is eual to in the second drop down and the field in the form in the third drop down.

    5.       Click ok until all windows gets closed.

Note: Before doing all these you should take a receive data connection to the data base.
