    Button

     Hi Sandhya,
In my infopath I have two date fields Start Date and End Date , These two are date Picker. and I placed one Save button.
On click of Save button I apply rules which if these date picker controls are blank then "This is required field" message is displayed.
and another rule is date should be in between 01/01/1900 and 31/12/2099.
I have one problem ,if I am applying both rule and when it goes preview I am directly click Save button It dont display This is required field message,
it display always date should be in between 01/01/1900 and 31/12/2099.
I want, if I am keeping blank both controls the messages should be This is required field.

If enter wrong date it should display "date should be in between 01/01/1900 and 31/12/2099".

I am already set the condition but its not working
    Thanks,
    Sandesh

     Hi Sandhesh,

Always the Rules are executed in the order which are you given. You can use ShowDialogue box message in Rule Action instead of Set fields value.

    Thanks,
    Sandhya

    Hi,

When you adding the rule date should be in between 01/01/1900 and 31/12/2099.  You should set the condition Start Date is not Present  for Start Date and End Date is not Present for End Date while adding the rule.

    Thanks,
    Sandhya

I add this rule, and I checked your sending infopath , but there is no validate date, if I entered date in start date field is less than 01/01/1900 and/OR in end date field is greater than 31/12/2099 and click Save button it dont show respective message.

     Hi,

You can use the StartDate is not Present and StartDate is less than 1/1/1900 tese two conditions for Rule of StartDate min size.

EndDate is not Present and EndDate is less than 12/31/2099 tese two conditions for Rule of EndDate max size.

No need to set the condition for max of Start date and min of End date as Enddate should always be greater than the Start date.

    Thanks,
    Sandhya

     Hi,

    InfoPath does not having the Password control. you can customize the Taskpane for password field. /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";}

    http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/shanthi/archive/2006/03/24/Create-Custom-Task-Pane-for-Password.aspx

it gives clear idea for creating task pane.

    Thanks,
    Sandhya
