    Conditional Formatting not working for saved forms

     Hi,

    I have created a infopath 2007 form (browser enabled) that is published in WSS 3.0  I have a button name "approved" that will be enabled for a particular username e.g admin. For other users the button will be disabled. The form works fine when the I click "New form" in the sharepoint form library for both the admin and other users.

    However, when the admin opens a saved same form (a form that was saved by other user) in the sharepoint library the "approve" button is not enabled.

    I have used conditional formatting for the button control based on username, that if the user is not admin the control will be disabled.

    What can be the issue?

    Regards,

    Reuben

    The first thing you can do to troubleshoot this is to display the username on the form and make sure it's showing the value you're expecting in all cases.  It might be the case that the "username" field is set to the user who created the form for some reason or other.

    Hi,Once try by relinking the forms in SharePoint.To do this follow below steps.1. Go to View dropdown which is at right corner.2. Select Relink Documents from dropdown.3. Select the documents which you want to relink.

    4. Click on Relink Selected Documents.

    Hi,

    I think you are using username() function in username field default value.  Instead of this one set the username field value in onload. To set the field value in onload, follow these steps.

    1. Go to Tools->Form Options.
    2. Select Open and Save category in Form Options window.
    3. Click on Rules button.
    4. Click on Add->Add Action.
    5. In Action window select Set a fields value.
    6. Select username field.
    7. For value use username() function.
    8. Click Ok until all the windows gets closed.
