Is it possible to submit data into both SQL and SharePoint document library?

Hi,

Yes. In InfoPath we can submit data into both SQL and SharePoint document library.

I know how to create the data connection to submit the data but I want to submit the data in both SQL and SharePoint library at the same time. Is this possible?

Hi,

You can submit the data to both SQL and SharePoint document library at the same time by using Rules. Follow these steps

1.First take the submit data connections to both SQL and SharePoint.
2.Add a button and go to button properties -> Rules->Add->Add Action.
3.In action window select ‘Submit using a data connection’ in Action drop down.
4.In data connection drop down select your data connection (SQL or SharePoint data connection).
5.Click ‘Ok’ and click on Add Action to add one more action.
6.Repeat the steps 3 and 4.
7.Then Click ‘Ok’ to close all the windows.

Hey Thanks!

I did everything you asked me to do but I am still having some problems. When I click on my button I am getting an error message saying some rules were not applied

Details:

InfoPath cannot submit the form.
An error occurred while the form was being submitted.
The following location does not use the HTTP or HTTPS protocol: //learn/sites/college/staff/Departments/miS/aOL/sainath.xml

The data gets stored in SQL but not in Sharepoint

Hi,

Make sure that your document library path should be in this format while taking the submit data connection.

http://<ServerName>/<SiteName>/<DocumentLibraryName>

Hi,

I think you didn’t give “http:” before site address while taking submit data connection.

Site address should be: “http://Sitename/subsitename/Document folder name”

I hope this will help you.

Unbelievable
