 Hi

I design a browser based infopath form with option button controls and textboxes and i receive data from sharepoint library.

when i check the browser compatibility it gives error like "InfoPath either cannot connect to the data source or the service has timed out."

How can i solve this problem

I have taken the SharePoint receive connection with browser enabled form. I am able to get the data from SharePoint for browser enabled form without any error message.

Do you have permission in SharePoint to get the data? Can you give more details how you are taking the data connection?

As your error message says, your data source may be timing out.  There is a timeout setting for data connections via the Sharepoint infopath forms services management console in the Sharepoint Admin site.  You can change the data connection timeout to make it a longer time, this would help isolate if that is the issue or not.

your sending the search service settings but in my case i need to change the Infopath Form Service Setting..

I increase the timed out setting in CentralAdmin - Infopath Form Service Settings,but the same error is repeating.

Could you give some other solution.

I know this thread is really old, but in case I run into this again and I've forgotten, I discovered that my form template was too large. The InfoPath client seems to only allow 30 seconds for a response from InfoPath Forms services on form verification. But the web service response actually does complete. This can be seen by using Fiddler to capture the traffic. When the response is viewed in XML format, it lists all the verification messages. Unfortunately, since my form isn't getting any smaller, I've resorted to first running the verification, weeding through the XML response in fiddler, and then publishing it to SharePoint without verification.

 Fiddler can also be helpful to troubleshoot other issues too with Publishing/Verifying since the InfoPath Client is communicating with a web service over port 80.
