    Design - Recommended approach

    Hi,

I have created an Infopath 2007 form (browser enabled) that will be used by travelling sales people. The form is used to capture customer enquiry details for a potential job - Customer details, Products required, estimated costs etc. The sales people can email the completed infopath form to a sharepoint document library where the admin people in the office can view the enquiry using InfoForm Services.

There is a requirement to produce a Quotation letter derived from the details captured in the hire enquiry form, the letter will also include standard terms and conditions. The letter will either be printed and faxed to the customer or emailed in a user friendly format preferably pdf or word. The letter should be able to be produced from any user who has access to the xml form data

Initially I was thinking of creating the letter as an Infopath view in the existing Enquiry form, however I am unclear how I can distribute this letter to external customers? - Is it possible to export the letter to word or a pdf documents, the solution would need to be browser compatible.

Alternatively I was thinking of creating a letter template in Word and using the saved xml form data as source to the template? I'm not even sure if this is possible?  Even if it was the user would need to point the template data source to a different xml data file for each letter...

Any advice or thoughts on how best to implement this solution would be greatly appreciated.

     Cheers

    Kev
