HTML, Js, asp in Infopath forms

    Heya,

I am evaluating potential solutions for one of my projects and I reckon that Infopath forms could be a good match if there is any chance to insert some custom code (any language really) to the forms.

I need to gather information from several databases and display the formated data within the form. Is there any chance of doing so with InfoPath?

The forms will eventually be stored in SharePoint.

If you have any comments or thoughts about that I will be glad to hear them

    Cheers,

    Alex

    Hi & welcome:

You can use script or managed code with InfoPath -- IP 2007 includes VSTA (Visual Studio Tools for Applications) for managed code, so you don't even have to have Visual Studio.

InfoPath does a great job of generic data display -- I guess my real question is what you mean by 'formatted'. You can set things like number formats very easily in IP text or expression boxes, and, of course, fonts and whatnot....but much depends on what you need to do with your data.
