File path from document library item

    Hi,

I have a secondary data source that is connected to a document library. In the form I want to get the full path to the document so that I can create a hyperlink to the document directly from the form.

    Is this possible?

No I want to open a word-document that lies in a sharepoint list from inside a infopath-form. Are you with me? But I cant´t get the filename/path to the file so that I can open it, just the title.

    Hi,

Do you know the location of your sharepoint where your word document located ? If you don't have the idea then first find the sharepoint location.Once you get the sharepoint url then append your word document file name with the sharepoint url. Then use this complete word document url into your infopath form for opening the word document.

    Hi,

Whether you are creating word document dynamically and submitting to SharePoint or else the document already exists in your SharePoint?

Re: File path from document library item

I don´t think you understand me. I have one document library(My document) with many different document, it can be word documents or excel documents, that doesn´t matter. Then I have one form library with my infopath-forms, in those form I want to have links to the documents in my document library(My documents). I just want to show links to the docs so that I can click and open them from my infopathform so that I don´t have to close the form and go in to the document library and open the document from there. I don´t want to create any document just open documents that is upploaded before in my document library in a new window.

I have found out a way to get the title from the document library but I want the whole url and just make hyperlinks of that one. Is this possible?
