    Change template link

    Good morning,

I got 1 site( http://Servername/sites/Employee) for employee's to fill in their timesheet.

1 site (http://Servernam/sites/Client ) for the client to receive timesheets from the employee that is working for that client. At the end of the month the employee sends his timehseet to the client.

So the timesheet is tranfered from http://servername/sites/Employee/Timesheets to http://servername/sites/Client/Timesheets. But when i want to open the timesheet on the website from the Client i get this message : "The following location is not accessible, because it is in a different site collection"

I know what the problem is because the template i used to make the Timesheet is still located on http://servername/sites/Employee/FormServerTemplates/*.XSN. But how is it possible to change that template link to the one that is in http://servername/sites/Client/FormServerTemplates/*.xsn ?
I know it is possible to change the template link when you do "change properties" on the document you maked.

But i want to change that template link in a workflow . so is this possible and how ?

    Thank you for your time

    Hi,

You can Relink the all Time sheets in the Client SharePoint and then try to Open the form.

For Relinking the Forms follow the below steps:

          ·         Go to the SharePoint (http://servername/sites/Client/FormServerTemplates)

    ·         Click on “Relink Documents” in the All Documents list.

    ·         Select Relink check box for all Time sheets and click on “Relink Selected Documents”.

    It may help you.

    Thanks,
    Sandhya

Actually I found a fix for my problem, perhaps this will help you too:

If you turn on "Allow management of Content Types" under Advanced Settings in library you are having trouble with.

Then click on desired content type >advanced settings.

You can specify the document template location.

Then run the relink documents and it should work great.

    Good Luck.
