InfoPath Dev

I finished creating a infopath form and would like to create an Approval Workflow for it.  Currently I am using Infopath 2007 with Outlook 2003.  After creating the workflow an email msg is sent to the approver(s) correct ? In testing this workflow my approver has not received the email as of yet.  Is it possible that I need to have Outlook 2007 to accomplish this or is it how I designed the workflow ?

It is better to use Outlook 2007. The combination of InfoPath 2007 and Outlook 2003 won't work.

I see.  So the out of the box workflows will not work thus would I have to create a custom workflow using Visual Studio 2005 ?  Would that work instead ??
