    Infopath 2003 - Timeout with Submitting data to webservices

    Hey there,

    I have created quite a complicated Infopath form. It uses multiple Retrieve and Submit webservices to receive and submit data to the database with webservices. Some of the Submit data connections take a long time as it generates lots of records based on the data input. This might take longer than 30 seconds. I have read thru many forums and stuff, but have not found my answer.

    I have changed the executionTimeout in the web.config file on the webservices, but it seems like Infopath 2003 is still overriding this value with his own default timeout 30 seconds.

    I am able to change the timeout for Retrieve data connections with the following code:

         WebServiceAdapter2 test = thisXDocument.DataObjects["DeleteForecast"].QueryAdapter as WebServiceAdapter2;
         test.Timeout = 200;

    Unfortunately the Submit data (objects) connections are not part of the DataObjects, so I can;t use this piece of code.

    Is there a way of changing the timeout for submit connections?

    Thanks,

    Collin

    Hello,

    Can you try below the code once

    WebServiceAdapter2 test = thisXDocument. DataAdapters["DeleteForecast"];

    test.Query();

    test.Timeout = 200;

     I have resolved the issue. The Submit data connections are only available in the DataAdapters in the OnSubmitRequest event. The suggested code is working fine.
