Reply Contact We are trying to generate auto number in a repeating table. The repeating table is known as "group 20" and we want to assign a IDNumber(field117) to each repeating row. We have tried the formula count(../preceding-sibling::field117)+1 We repeated get the error message that field117 is not a valid path or location. We are confounded by this syntex. Can anyone help, please! _ATS_ Filed under: Repeating table, repeating table infopath, preceding-sibling, infopath 01-15-2009 08:53 PM In reply to swathip Joined on 10-30-2007 India Posts 487 Re: Autogenerated Row Number Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Use the following expression instead of your expression.
count(../preceding-sibling::my: group20)+1
Hope it will work for you.
