is there a way in Infopath, when someone selects a specific option (such as a button) it brings up a list below of options depending on what option the person clicks on

For Example:

 If someone clicks on a radio button that says "Apples"  It brings up below a field to type in specific apples, but if the person clicks on the option that says "Cherries" different options appear. Basically a choice field depending on the criteria that is picked.

Any ideas?

Add two radio buttons as “Apples” and “Cherries” to the form. And double click on the radio button and verify the value is displayed as “1” for “Apples” radio button and “2” for “Cherries” radio button.

1.            Now add one section to the form and add fields related to Apples in that section. 

2.            Double click on the section properties and switch to “Display” tab.

3.            Select Conditional Formatting button.

4.            Click on “Add” button.

5.            Add condition as “Apples is not equal to 1”. Then hide this control.

6.            Add another section to the field and add fields related to Cherries.

7.            Add condition to second section as “Cherries is not equal to 2”. Then hide this control.

If you want to select both “Apples” and “Cherries” options at a time, then use check boxes instead of radio buttons.

I tried that, still nothing.  is there a specific tutorial i can look at?

Here is some more information on conditional formatting. Can you tell me a little more about what you mean when you say "still nothing"? The post above suggests adding the specific controls you need for each selected options in their own sections, and then showing/hiding the sections based on the selected option. Was there something specific that is causing you difficulty? You'll want to check the properties for each option button, and find the selected value. Then you can set your conditional formatting for that value.

what i am trying to do, is when i click on say a radio button that says "Apples" a specific field of options would appear only when clicking on the "Apples" option (either in a form of a button or whatever) to display some specific fields with options to choose from
