Form is being forced to be Read Only in Infopath Client if form originally created in Browser in a SharePoint Form Library.

    Hello,

I have a problem and would be glad if someone has any guidance. So I have a form template that is published as a content type in Sharepoint.

In Sharepoint Advanced Settings, I make the content type open up in the client application (infopath). I then click New in Sharpeoint and it opens the form in Infopath and creates a new form, I enter data in the form, click submit and it submits normally to sharepoint. I can then edit that regardless if I use the Edit in browser or Edit in Infopath.

Now if I change the content type to Browser Based. I then click the New button and as you would expect now it opens in the Browser. I can then enter data and create a new form as normal. However now I can only edit it in a browser. If I try and edit is in the Infopath client I get a message saying that the form is read only. Indeed in the top title bar it says the doecument is read only.

     To Summarise.

If I create the form in Infopath Client - It is editable in Client or Browser.
If I create the form in Browser - It is only editable in browser and opens up as Read Only using the Infopath client.

    What would cause this.

     Any help is appreciated.
