Open a new InfoPath for from another form

    Hello,

I have a problem could you help me to resolve it.

I have a couple InfoPath forms published in SharePoint one for the Companies second for a Persons each persons "link" to the company (I meen that Person have a field Company). So I need to have an opportunity to create a Persons from the Company form. For example I want to change Company and I open Company form then I want to create new Person for this Company. I can open new form by using ruls, but in that case I can't automaticly fill Company field in that form I need to choose it from the list manually. Is their any chance to fill that field automatically?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello, and welcome!

This can be done using code. Greg Collins has a great blog post with samples that you can find here. It uses jscript and is for the IP 2003 model -- if you are using 2007, you should look into the NewFromFormTemplate method. If you prefer managed code, jscript is pretty easy to translate to C#.

Let me know if you have any trouble with it, okay?
