    Which Data Type for Decimals

I have created an InfoPath 2003 form and some of the fields have to accept decimals. I cannot figure out which data type to use to allow me to enter in decimals without getting the "red box" around the textbox. I can get one of two things to happen, neither of which is what I want:

    1. I enter a decimal and it shows the decimal, but a red box displays and I cannot submit the data.

    2. I enter a decimal, InfoPath rounds the decimal to the nearest whole number and the form submits properly.

I need to be able to enter and submit a decimal number.

    Help!

Is your form based off a database? If so, check the data type in your database. Make sure it is decimal. If your form is not based off a database, right click the field in the Data Source Task Pane, select properties, and change the field to a decimal there.
