Entering data into text boxes by selecting item in dropdown.

Hi, please forgive me for my igronance but I am new to Infopath.

I am creating a change request for in infopath and would like to have a dropdown box which gets a list of names from a list in sharepoint.  What i would like to achieve is when a user selects a name it will populate two text boxes with phone number and company name (both fields in the same share point list).  I have managed to setup the dropdown list and have set a rule to set a fields value for the phone number.  But the problem I have is when selecting the name from the dropdown it populates the phone number text box with the first phone number in the sharepoint list and not the one associated with user being selected.

     Any assistance for a newbie?

    Hi SteveHaggerty,

By using the Master/Details functionality in InfoPath you can easily implement your functionality. I think the below links will help you alot.

    Hi,

In the rule, while setting the phone number add a filter condition that the selected name is equal to the sharepoint list name.

    Hope this helps you.
