Hello,

I am trying to add an action handler for when a row is added to a repeating table by a form user. I would like it to be like an OnClick() for a button.

Any hints or pointers to previous articles would be appreciated.

PS The idea is to keep track of the number of rows added to a repeating table and stop the user from adding more than a set number (say 5).

I will try the solution with the XSD file.

I'm still curious if an event exists that occurs when a new row is added to a repeating table - something that could be checked via scripting as the form is being filled out.

Also - if such an event exists could it be checked in the properties section of the repeating row under rules, conditions, actions in the InfoPath IDE?

Eric,

The event you are looking for is the OnAfterChange event for the repeating node. To access it, double-click the node in the Data Source task pane, go to Data Validation and Event Handlers, select OnAfterChange from the drop-down menu and click Edit Code.

It's not quite like an OnClick event, because you have to do filtering sometimes, but this should do what you are looking for.
