    Hi, 

    I have custom InfoPath form template published to the SharePoint form library. The client will create new InfoPath form based on aforementioned form template in this form library. When the form template is significantly changed (adding new controls, rearranging the controls) and resubmitted, the forms that were created using the previous form template will no longer work. Is there way to modify the form template but still be able to open the form created using the previous form template and at the same time these forms should have the latest changes made to the form template?

    Hello Vipul Mehta,

    It will ask one dialog box when you try to open old form “form is created with old version do you want to open with new version …” like that If you published or modified with new InfoPath template form. But your issue is different and entirely opposite for above. You are created form with new version and you are ting to open that form with old version with new changes right? For this you have to remove new form from cache or you have to publish or update with old version with new version form.

    Note: Form opens with old version template form with new changes bug those fields should be read only.
