Publish Form with Secondary Data Sources to https Web Site

    Hi All,

I'm facing a problem with my secondary data sources from my Infopath Form once it's published to a SharePoint site.

The Secondary connection are connection to home made Web Service and an XML file stored in a Document Library (in the same Sharepoint Site).

When the form is tested from Infopath Client it works fine but once published to the SharePoint site I keep having error message: "Infopath Error: The operation has timed out" in the event viewer and in SharePoint log I have the following:

"Data adapter failed during OnLoad: The form cannot run the specified query. a80b462e-2496-4e6e-a3dd-9173a95f5e5d"
"The following query failed: StageGateParameters (User: domain\user, Form Name: BPW - StageGate, IP: , Request: http://LocalAddress/_layouts/FormServer.aspx?XsnLocation=https://ExternalAddress/FormServerTemplates/BPW+-+StageGate.xsn&SaveLocation=https://ExternalAddress/busdev/SG/SGP/Stage+Gate+Projects&Source=https://ExternalAddress/busdev/SG/SGP/Stage%2520Gate%2520Projects/Forms/AllItems.aspx&DefaultItemOpen=1, Form ID: urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:infopath:BPW---StageGate:-myXSD-2005-10-21T21-12-27, Type: DataAdapterException, Exception Message: The form cannot run the specified query. Unable to connect to the remote server) a80b462e-2496-4e6e-a3dd-9173a95f5e5d"

I'm using UDC files for my external Data Sources, the udc files are published in a Data Connection library and they are all approved.

The Connection doesn't work either for the Web Service and for the XML file.

The thing is since my form is published in SharePoint I'm not sure which URL (internal or external) I should use for the UDC file path. Also inside the UDC file I'm not sure which URL I should use (Internal or external ?) for the path to the resource (Web Service or XML file).

     Any help will be appreciated.

     Kind regards

    Sébastien

The problem is solved but I don't really understand what was the problem.

The WebService was created as a Virtual Directory under the SharePoint site, I have changed that to a new WebSite and since then it works.

Was the Sharepoint ISAPI filter bloquing my requests to the Web Service ? The Web Service was working properly from the browser.
