Returning a value based on a dropdown list.

I am wanting to have a text box display different text based on what is "chosen" in a drop down list.

For instance if some one chooses "Active" from a drop down box I want "per month" displayed in a text box beneath it.  However if someone chooses "Inactive" I was "per year" displayed in the same text box beneath it.  I have been trying to use the Rules and the string() function but can not seem to get it to work.

I currently have it set up using conditional formating with 2 seperate text boxes, one that says "per year" and one that says "per month", however I was hoping there is an easier way to do it with only one data source instead of two.

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

     Thanks in advance.

    Hello:

Set a couple of rules on the field your drop down is bound to. The first one could have the Condition if the field is equal to Active, and the Action to set the field (target text box) to "per month". Your second rule could have the Condition if the field is equal to Inactive and an Action to set the same field (target text box) to "per year".

Let me know if you need more specifics, okay?
