Publish a Infopath form to a sharepoint server

    Hi,

I have created one infopath form. Now I am supposed to publish the form so that it works in production. But production moss2007 server is in another network. How can i publish the the form?

You need to go through the publishing process in designer and you would need both connectivity from your PC to the Sharepoint Site and adequate permissions to be able to publish the template to it.

    Hi Clay,

    Thanks for your help.

I am publishing my Form to a MOSS Server e.g. Server A; I am trying to take the form and then deploying to Server B. I am facing a problem while submitting the Form. It hangs. Is there anything wrong I am doing? After doing a little study into the details I figured out that it is holding Server A name in some internal files which I can not change. I am shipping my .XSN file to be deployed to Server B.

Is it required for me to have access in Server B? In this case I do not have it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards

    Jeetu

    Hi Jeetu.

A template is a vital peice of the solution. When a document is made from it, that document always retains a link to the template since the template is required for it to be rendered properly.

A template cannot be copied, it must be published so that InfoPath can provision itself properly.

You would need to send the XSN to someone who had InfoPath and write Access to the final location on Server B.

They would open the template in design mode and go through the publish wizard to deploy to server B.
