    Hello:

Could you give me a little more information? Is your form based off a database? Is it published to a network folder or to SharePoint? What does the error message say?

    sure

i am trying to publish and submit to a Document Library in Sharepoint

    I am getting the error

    InfoPath cannot submit the form.
An error occurred while the form was being submitted.
A value in the form may be used to specify the file name. If you know the value in the form that specifies the file name, revise it and try again. Otherwise, contact the author of the form template

I have tried to find this issue, and tried most everything that i am able to, however still getting that error

Re: cannot get infopath to submit

A lot of times this error comes up when the form has been set to be submitted with a field value for its name and then, after it has been submitted, it is opened and submitted again, but the form was not set to overwrite if a form of the same name existed in the library. Have you been able to submit any filled out copies of this form to your library? In design mode, when you look at the submit connection, is the Allow overwrite check box selected? http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath/HA101070571033.aspx has some more information on this....

I am trying to add unique filenames to each of the forms, so they don't get overwritten.

I have not been able to submit any of the forms, keeps appearing with the same message

That makes me wonder if it is a problem with the formula you are using for your form name. What is the formula you are using?

One way to troubleshoot this would be to open the form in design mode and set a field in the form to have the value of the formula. Then, preview the form and see if the formula generates the name you want.

Verify that you are looking at the same library you set the form to submit to. Also, if you haven't already, refresh the page. You can also look at your Document Library in Explorer view, in case your view is set up with a filter that is preventing you from seeing your submitted form.

Re: cannot get infopath to submit

I'm afraid I'm at a loss, too. The only thing I can think of is that your Submit connection is not set up to the same site as you are looking at. Perhaps you should copy the url of the document library and walk through setting up the Submit connection again, pasting the url in for your SharePoint url?
