InfoPath Dev

Hello,

i´ve made my first little Form with IP (manually add fields - not xsd-schema-based). After the exporting there is a "Microsoft"-namespace in the top of the XML-File. Something like that:

<my:codeBook xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:my="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/myXSD/2008-07-05T21:32:27" xmlns:xd="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003" xml:lang="de">

And in the whole XML-File there is a prefix "my:" in front of the tags.

How can i delete the automatic generatetd namespaces (and consequently the prefixes) or better how can i define my own namespaces?

I need something like this:

<codeBook xmlns="http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/DDI" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/DDI Version2-1_oAnnotations.xsd">

Another question:
Is it possible that i have "variables (elements, attributes...)" but these variables are not exported to XML. E.g. i need some variables to calculate an index.

Unfortunately, it seems there may be no easy way to do this, though you may want to have a look at these links:

The simplest way to have a form that outputs xml with the format namespaces you want is to create a sample XML file ahead of time, and base the form off of that.  However, even if you do that, any additional nodes you add in InfoPath will yet again be in the my: namespace.

Hmmm - that sounds not very comfortabel. If the schema is changing then i get a lot of problems...

Can you or someone else can please help me with the other question:

Empty elements and attributes are exported, too. How can i avoid this - or can´t i do this?

We can’t change the namespace defined in xml or schema. We can able to change the prefix of the namespace. Go through this link you will more information on namespace:

I am clear about ‘Empty elements and attributes are exported’? Are you trying to xml file to Export the data or something else?

Hello,

 i have created a "infopath-" input mask with a lot of input fields. Many of these fields (and so the tags in the xml-file) can be empty - the user must not fill them out.
When i export the the mask to a xml-file the empty fields are also exported to empty tags. I know that this is allowed in xml - but it is not very nice because the xml-file is thus bloated. Can i say anywhere in Infopath: don´t export empty tags? Only export filled out tags.
