    Access Database connection

So here's the problem I've been having:

I make a table in Access

I make a data connection to the database to receive nformation from inside the infopath application

I make a text box and I set the text box to:

if textbox = password replace password with name of user and make read-only.  I am doing this instead of using the digital signature because I believe it is more efficient.  However, everytime I set this equation the only name that pops in the textbox (no matter what password I use) is the first name.

What did I do wrong?  Can some one help me?

    Thanks!

    Hello, and welcome!

If you are always getting the first name, I would guess it would be because you didn't set a filter on the field. In the Select a Field or Group window, when you are selecting a field for a default value or a rule, in the lower left is a Filter Data button. In your scenario, you would select the User Name field, then filter the data, and select the Password field from your database in the first dropdown list, is equal to in the second dropdown list and from the third, the field that currently holds the password value.
