    Display Tooltip next to control (using ToolTip object)

    Hi there,

    I want to display tooltip next to a textbox control on the InfoPath form.
    Here is the code that I use

    ToolTip tt = new ToolTip();
    tt.ToolTipIcon= ToolTipIcon.Warning;
    tt.ShowAlways = true;
    tt.IsBallon = true;

    tt.Show("Hi! This is tooltip!",....................);

    Note: ................. = IWin32Window object

    The second parameters of the Show() method requires object of type IWin32Window.
    I could not find this object at atll!!!

     So, any suggestion?

    Thanks

    InfoPath is sandboxed and does not allow for this. You are probably stuck using the builtin tooltip functionality.

    Not currently. Tooltips are design time. We have already made that request to Microsoft for a future release, but have no control over the process of what features will make it into future releases. Just know that they are aware of that request.

    Hmm, sounds like it's not fully a well functioning app or it's designed to be so. :)
    Hope it will become better in future release.

    Thanks Greg!!!

    It's still an early app, in it's 2nd to 3rd incarnation (if you count v1 SP1 as a full incarnation). Since InfoPath is on the same timeline as Office for development, features often get cut in order to meet the deadlines. That's the way with software development.

    Again, it has been requested that they make every item that has text displaying in the view (tooltips, repeating table insert text, etc) modifyable at runtime. This is important to be able to localize forms on the fly.
