Hi,

In my form I have created a submit button, so that the submit  occurs through my button and not through the default submit, but when i  press submit the following error occurs:

InfoPath cannot submit the form.
An error occurred while the form was being submitted.
A value in the form may be used to specify the file name. If you know the value in the form that specifies the file name, revise it and try again. Otherwise, contact the author of the form template.

Can anyone tell me how to use a value in a field to specify the file name?

In the setup of the data connection where you set the file name you can use the FX button to create a concatenation of fields for the file name.

You may not have done this or the field you specified is blank of something.

Modify your submit data connection and check it out.
