Not sure how to do this

I am entirely new to InfoPath and SharePoint. I am trying to accomplish the following task: I want to make an article submission system. Someone can start an article by filling out a form that would have fields such as title, body, email, editor's email, and attachments. All of this info needs to be emailed to the email address from the form. The recipient of the email is to look over the article, make any changes (and possibly have the changes logged with a versioning system - don't know if that's possible), and forward it to another editor. The editors may send it to as many of each other as they want until one of them decide it's ready to be published (possibly a checkbox value on the form) - which in case, it is returned to the original author.

I would also like to create a mechanism that would show all of the articles to be published, allow me to attach a picture to the article, send notification of the article being published to a few a selected set of email addresses, and update a sharepoint website (and possibly RSS feed).

I have no idea what any of this will require - I could code it myself in php or something, but the people I'm working for want it done with sharepoint and infopath so that it works with the rest of the microsoft programs. Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find a ready made version of this? A tutorial on how to do this? A point in the right direction? Anything would be very helpful - I'm entirely new to Sharepoint and Infopath!

    Hey there.

You are in luck.  There is a solution for document authoring with the worflow/ versioning etc. And since it is in InfoPath would be pretty easy to customize and tailor to your specifics.

It does require SQL but if you have SharePoint it would already have this.

Send me an email and I can get a demo setup for you.
