    Running DOS Commands in InfoPath

    Hi All,

Does anyone know how to execute DOS commands in Infopath using a button. Specifically, I would like to create folders using a Infopath data field value as a folder name.

    Thanks!

Hi Sam1996 and welcome to our forum. This will require code and will also require full trust as it modifies the file system.

Thanks for the info...But I am looking for code in the button to create a user defined folder using a infopath data filed...
for example when a user clicks a button:
I want info path to execute this DOS command below:
    mkdir c:\Marketing\'infopath data field value'

    Thanks!

Ah ok. This will depend on the language you are using. I would do a Google search on " 'dos commands' and '<insert your language> ". You can put the code in the button event handler. You'll have to create a variable to copy the node data into and then use that in your code to pass it to the command line.

I want to use the info path built in js language. Can you point to some examples. I cannot find any specific ones that work with infopath's data field...

    Thanks!
