InfoPath Dev

Hi,

Another newbie question here.

In my sharepoint view I want to use the [Me] filter.

However Ive noticed it only works if the field you are filtering against is a proper name type field such as Created By, Modified By.

My Manager field is a text string...

How can I convert it to type 'name' if such a type exists?

If you are using SP 2007, there's been a lot of discussion about this not working. You can search the forums to read the discussions. One person had to create a custom control to get it to work. I don't have details on what they did.
