    Annotations from the XML-schema in the form

    I#%92ve build a Infopath 2003 form from a XML-schema. In the schema I have annotations to a set of list values, I would like these annotations to been show in the form. Se below for the XML-schema:

    <xs:simpleType name="_datatypeType">
    <xs:restriction base="xs:string">
    <xs:enumeration value="NUM_001">
    <xs:annotation>
    <xs:documentation>Explanation of the enumeration value ” </xs:documentation></xs:annotation>
    [...]
    </xs:enumeration>
    </xs:restriction>
    </xs:simpleType>

    How do I get the form to show the value of the annotation documentation field? When I direct to the data source in Infopath I can only get the enumerations e.g. as a drop down list, but no way to see the accompanying annotations.

    Is there any way to show both?

    I've allready installed SP2.

    Hope that I#%92ve come to the right place for expert answers ;)

    Yours sincerely

    Annotations are not directly supported within InfoPath forms--however, you can use code to load the schema into a DOM and then pull the annotations out via selectSingleNode(), etc., and do things with them that way.
