A rich text box must be bound to a non-repeating field with a rich text data type

    Hi Clay,

I have a infopath form with a rich text box. On trying to map the rich text box to a string data type of an object in webservice i get the following error.

"A rich text box must be bound to a non-repeating field with a rich text data type. If the field is part of a repeating group then the rich text box must be inside a repeating table or repeating section that is bound to that group."

I understand that the rich text box is of datatype XHTML but unaware on how to pass it as a string to webservice object.

I need to retain the formatting done by the user in the rich text box control and hence using the control.

    Regards,

    Pramod

You will have to use code to get a string copy of all the markup in your rich text node. If needed, you can save that string into a hidden text node somewhere for your web service. Getting node.text will fail because it ignores all the markup.
