I would like to use an secondairie datasource of type XML to use for look up in fields of my main datasource.

is this posible? I want to do this so my infopath form also has ofline the options abvailable.

Sure.

Just go to tools and data sources and add a new recieve type and select XML. You need the XML file first.

For off-line you can save the file with the template, although to update the file information you would need to republish. Another option is to put it on the network but then have clients make the location an offline folder. Then they will get a new copy whenever they are online.
