Populate Drop Down list box choices based on value chosen in another drop down list box

I would like to populate the list choices of a drop down control  based on the value chosen in another dropdown list control.

I have a Location drop down list box with 3 values ( locations A, B & C) and a Sub Location drop down list box that I would like to populate with the values in 3 different WSS Lists. So if a user chooses location "A" then the sub location list box would display as choices  the values from wss list "A", but if they choose location "B" the sub location list box would display values from wss list "B".

I don't have a problem displaying the wss list values in a dropdown list box but can't get the values in the sub location to change based on the value chosen in the location list box.

    Thanks,

    Keith

Typically you would have all three sets of sub locations in one list.

Then it should be pretty straightforward to setup the cascading dropdowns.

There is not a way to make one dropdown dynamic this way.

However you can make three dropdowns, one setup for each and then use conditional formating to hide the two you don't need based on the first dropdown value.

Create three dropdown controls, each bound to the same field but each with a different secondary data source.

So dropdown SubA would have conditional formatting where locationdropdown not equal to A hide. This would be the same for each.

If you need help with setting up the filters for the second dropdowns just do a search here on cascading.
