strange behavior in browser form using udc

    Hi there,

I am using the following setup and have a strange behavior when I use it with IE.

DataConnection: WebService (SQLServer HTTP-Endpoint) using SharePoint UDC (explicit Authentication with User Credentials)

    Form: Browser-enabled Forms-Library (Admin deployed).

Everythings fine calling the WebService when I use the InfoPath-Client but when I do the same thing in the Browser-Environment nothing happens, either my data comes nor a error message.

I see that the service is definetly called because in the SQLServer Profiler I have the respective StoredProcedure call. But it seems that the data is not passed to my browser.

I had a look to the MOSS Logs, everything was fine.

    Any Suggestions?

     Thanks and regards,

     Daniel

Hi Daniel, welcome to the forum.

Do you see any warnings or errors in the design checker?

So this is a database type form which you converted the main data connection to a UDC or are you using a SQL query in code or something?

You probably need to use web services.  I could show you how to use Web Services which work with SQL.

    Hi Clay,

I am using this Connection as a secondary datasource. First it was a normal Webservice connection that I added and afterwards I converted it to

use a SharePoint DataConnection. I added the specific Credentials to this files otherwise I got a Access Denied Error.

Of course I would appreciate it when you show me your way.

    Thanks,

     Daniel
