I am not sure I understand.
You can query a web service at any time regardless fo the view.
View are simply ways of looking at the data the data source is constant in the form at all times.
Web Services are a data conenction and can be triggred via rule actions on field changes or buttons at about any time. Views can also be changed via button logic.
Just add additional actions to your button when the view is changed to also submit or query a web service.
