    list box and rich text

    morning,

Forgive me I'm a total newbie to Infopath. I'm not even sure I can explain myself in terms that would make sense, but here goes.

What I'd like to do is. Have a select box numbered 1 to 9 and when a user selects a number the appropriate amount of rich text boxes appear below the select box. The default value will be one and one rich text box will always be displayed. If the user selects 2 then another box appears below it, selecting three will make another 2 appear and so on and so on. I've looked through the properties for select box and rich text but can't seem to nail down anything that could do it.

thanks in advance for your help....

    Two ways to do this.

The easiest is create 10 rows in your form but hide 9 of them with conditional formatting by default.  Then based on selection unhide them.

Another method would require code to loop through and insert the number of rows to the user selects.  If you 10 is your max then I think the former would be easier unless you are submitting this data top a database.

Other option is that they use the insert button and create them as they need them. You could validate at submit that they have created the number they need.
