    Error when getting system date from Date Object

    I'm trying to get the current system date using the Today method of the Date object.  I took the following code right from the example in the help file:

    var currentDate = XDocument.Util.Date.Today();

    But when I try to run it, I get the following error:

     Variable uses an Automation type not supported JScript

    Any ideas?

    You might look at getdate(0 or whatever the jscript command for the current date.

    Another option is just create a field that defaults to today() then just pull from that.

    Thanks Clay.  Setting the default to today() did the trick.  For some reason I always try to do things the hard way...
