How to pass value to a form to fetch data

    Hi,

I am new to Infopath 2007 and want to develop one form which i want to deploy on Share point form library. I have created one form template in Infopath 2007, which fetches and display user information based on his user code(receiving data using XML webservice). But my question is, how can i get data displayed based on the user login(user code). when any user logs in, i have to pass 6 digit code to the form, which will then fetch the data for that user code.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Sudheer

In Sharepoint 2007 there are some ways to determine the user's login or name which should help you.

I use an Active Directory web service which identifies the form user by their network login, even if they are accessing remotely via VPN, etc.  This can also access any data in Active Directory such as location or manager, etc

Thank you for your help. Actually i could able to do that using the following Managed code(.NET). Dim strEmpCode As String strEmpCode = Application.User.UserName Dim dsSSNFormData As DataSource = Me.DataSources(0) Dim ns As XmlNamespaceManager = Me.NamespaceManager Dim xnEmpSSNData As XPathNavigator = dsSSNFormData.CreateNavigator() Dim xnEmpCode As XPathNavigator = xnEmpSSNData.SelectSingleNode("/dfs:myFields/dfs:queryFields/tns:GetSSNDetails/tns:Employeecode", ns) 'xnEmpCode.SetValue(strEmpCode) dsSSNFormData.QueryConnection.Execute() Now i have one more query. When i Submit the InfoPath form, it should redirect me to an .ASPX page. I tried to use Response.Redirect("mypage.aspx") in Infopath event FormEvents_Submit . But there is no Response object. Any idea?

You may try opening the web page when they click the submit button and the form closes. I am not sure what options you have with InfoPath once the form is already closing.
