Is it possible to disable the opening of a new form? (ie in an old form library)

    Hi All,

I have an old from library that contains a template and over 150 forms.  I have created a new form for the project and am asking users to use the new form and form library.  How do I prevent people from opening the old form via the old link, as i will still need the old form to work so that we can open the old completed forms?

     Many Thanks

    J

I would update the old templat

Add a rule on Open which checks the contents.  Select a field that would be blank a new form but not on an existing form.  Set the rule field is blank, action display message "do not use this old form, blah blah, etc"

Then the next action is open a form and open up the new form for them, then close this form.

You could just close the form and make them go open the new one themselves if you really want them to learn. :)
