You should be able to setup a data connection via the wizard.  Select SharePoint and navigate to your list.  Make sure the default view has what you need but it will load the data from that list.

That should be what you need.

    hi clay,

i've try to setup the data connection, but there is no custom choise list that i've created in sharepoint in the data connection list of fields that i can select from.

any idea why my choise list didn't appear in the data connection?

     thanks

InfoPath returns the items in the default view, so make sure the field you want is in the default view.

    hi Clay,

the item is already in the default view, but it still did not list out the choice list i've created in the data connection fields.

I am not sure what you are referring to exactly.  Maybe attach some screen shots so I no which part you are describing.

I create a custom list in SharePoint..The folowing image is the column in the list. Noted that i have created a Reporting Period column with type Choice

    Screenshot1

i already set the colum to appear in the default view..

In the data connection, when i point to Measures Sharepoint list, i cannot find option for Reporting Period which I have created in the SharePoint..

This is because the way SharePoint implements this is a work around.

I see lots of posts to either get repeating data into SharePoint or out of it.

SharePoint is built on a flat structure to be fast at navigatin how ever the price for this is it does not support relational data very well, if at all.

To get what you want you should consider using a database to house this information and using SharePoint just to navigate to it.
