How to bind a secondary data source repeating table to a main data source repeating table

    Hello,

I've been trying to find a post, a book out there that could help me with this problem but to no avail.

I have a web service from witch I receive data (an xml), and a second to witch i submit data.

My first question is : When I add a repeating table witch is binded on that secondary data source I get the result as expected, but when I submit the form the data that was retrived is not in the xml (is not submitted). Why?

Because of that I tried to create those fields in the main data source and bind their values to those of the secondary data source, but this shows just the first row in the repeating table. How do i bind that table to remain in the main data source but receive data from the secondary data source, so i can submit it.

    Tnx in advance.

     Hey Marijo

i struggled with the same issue lately - i think it's something that is never clear when following a couple of examples , that secondary datasources don't keep the data in store actually

http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/5373/26667.aspx#26667  shows another thread with some code in it

      for good understanding

XDocument.DOM.SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:RT_directreports").cloneNode(true);     is refering to my (empty) repeating table  in my main document

XDocument.GetDOM("Pricing").SelectNodes("/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/tns:pricingResponse/tns:pricingResult/NewDataSet/Table");   is refering to my Oracle feedback through  a webservice (secondary data thus)

it's a matter of like for like copying from one field to the other

watch out for my typo's in the code there, as Greg pointed out.
